Core Values

Creating a safer space

Lake strives to make a safer and more inclusive space that juxtaposes the stereotype of tattoo shops as synonymous with toxic masculinity, overstimulation, misogyny, racism, and anxiety. Lake aims to create an experience that holds space for your thoughts and strengthens your self agency.

Upholding a community

Unable to get a tattoo from Lake for financial reasons? Each month, Lake offers two tattoos free of cost, prioritizing POC within the trans, non-binary, gender non-conforming and gender expansive community. Please email to inquire about pro bono availability.

Executing mindfully

Lake applies his tattoos with mindfulness and with utmost attention to detail. He works to pull one-pass lines in order to reduce trauma to the skin and allow for the most seamless healing process.

Whether serious or light-hearted, spur-of-the-moment or long-in-coming, tattoos have the power to be a form of reclamation of our body, a tool for self care and healing, and an act of resistance.
